people already tied into Red Hat so if they are able to maintain programming/tech operating standards (which is no minor consideration, but the one which AOL is reknown for ignoring) then I agree AOL/TWs commercialism & capital might give the direction needed to bring Linux into direct competition with Windows - Oh Happy Day !

Lets face it Windows is over-priced, so if anyone can get a functional alternative running they will clean up. Which is why source code was the thing.
