if I am understanding you correct you are trying to make a arcade style joystick from a second keyboard?

would a usb keyboard work at the same time as a ps/2 keyboard? if so couldn't you rig something from the keyboard controller in the usb keyboard to make a joystick. Not sure exactly how the controllers work my thought was shorting differnt series on the board with switches. I had a similar idea for an mp3 player just never got around to doing it, just bought one.
