Funny I've had the same with WD except for a very old ATA33 one which I don't think is ever going to die. LOL The others I've had get a big thumbs down from me. Now the Maxtors I have no problems nor with the Quantum or IBM...er at least this IBM. First one died off rather quicky, but the replacement is hanging in here. Segate makes great SCSI drives tho. Course that doesn't mean the next Maxtor I get won't die off.
