You have to completely reinstall the HAL to do that.

Either you set "PNP OS" in bios and let Windows sort it out, or you put the cards in the right slots according to your IRQ assignment table (again, check MB documentation) and enable Update ESCD in BIOS.

The exception is when you toss an old ISA card into the mix, then it gets a little tricky.
