do 2 things...
1st, while in windows, open a dos prompt. from your c:\ prompt type "time". Compare that time (system time)with your WinXP time. If they are different, try searching Microsoft Knowledge base for resolutions.
2nd, restart computer, go into bios set-up. If your system time is showing the coreect time, then your battery is fine. Most likely, it is a program on your computer that is causing the problem. As I mentioned earlier, some anti-virus programs might cause it. Also anything that is CPU intensive, like Seti@home.
