Haven't tried safe mode yet

Thanks for all of the plans, but I think I will just run a copper line to a spkie. My BIL said not to use copper outside because it will oxidize, and kill its grounding properties. Is there a happy medium material such as aluminum, or will the copper be just fine? Also, I'm not so sure I want to toy with the breaker box here. It's in a pretty scarry place being right under the sink. I'd like to know what kind of drugs the guy who thought that up was on. And like I said, I already have a variable voltage transformer if I can use that as a conditioner. A friend of mine used to use it to test, and tune guitar amps.
