Have any of you seen/read CPU magazine? It stands for Computer Power User, and it's quite a package. If you're anything like me you think that Maximum PC has fucked up by dropping editorial space. Not here, boys. There are nine editorials, and the February issue pumped both Kyle from [H]ard OCP, and Anand himself's up to two page spreads. The reviews may be a little cluttered and mixed around the mag, but the full articles are well done, and properly edited. And one of the coolest features is that the editor in chief challenges one of the staff writers to a PC build off which has a guideline attached. For instance, January's guideline was to build the best gaming PC for under a grand. February's was to build the best small/home office computer for $1500.
If you like your MPC I think you'll like this one, and if MPC leaves a bad taste in your mouth this will be much more your speed. I only hope they add a mailbag soon, but it is only on its third issue.
