interesting,
what version of Detonator drivers do you use? I have pretty much the same set-up:
Asus A7A266 1.333ghz thunderbird
VisionTek Ti500
I have found I cannot use the 23.11 latest drivers as I cannot get any Direct3D games to play without locking up, they work fine in OpenGL.
so I have been using Version 21.85 which work fine in both modes.
I have never seen the Grid like you talk about.
do you overclock by change? I do not.
