I had some funy bizness with a 75 GXP when setting up the partitions. I found that I could partition the whole drive perfectly in FDISK without errors, but unless I left a couple of hundred Mb at the end of the drive unpartitioned I would get all sorts of problems setting up Windows.

On a 15 Gb disk a few megs is nothing to cry about and it has worked fine ever since, but there was something a tad screwy about it and it wasnt the actual sectors/platters IMHO but some sort of software glitch.
