I agreed with you to a point but if you need all the accesseries that comes with a retail box, Composite adapter cable & S-video cable & a DVI to VGA dongle & the HL games. You have to be carefull which OEM you pick with the right stuff. The Retail version is a faster card to, me I got a retail version on EBay for $202.50 plus S&H. What surprized me was the GPU has a small H/S fan combo & the rams are not covered @ all.
