So what does everyone else think?

I got to play on an X-Box Christmas day, my cousins had one and we fired up a few multiplayer rounds of Halo.

Personally, I was impressed (apart from the fact that this thing costs USD $299 and will be even more in the UK). Good graphics, and a nice console feel with no indications that the thing is a PC derivative, apart from the excellent graphics.

I agree with the gamepad size complaints, though. The strong force-feedback effects are nice but overall, i fealt like i was holding a large camera -- the controller size and layout just aren't "intuitive".
