They dropped the LiveWare shit, now they support everything as a Driver download. When you install the drivers, it gives you a list of all the little utilities they normally install, and you can check/uncheck the ones you want.

The new XP drivers (I opted out of everything but the SB Mixer utility) let you tweak the front/rear balance settings and set up the audio environments, toggle the speaker configuration, etc. The built in XP drivers don't let you do that, so it was worth the install in my opinion. Volume seems louder now too.
