Hi, Scott.

I can give you a more solid answer than "we'll look into it", but I'm
afraid the answer may not be exactly what you're hoping for. We have
no plans to allow teams to merge or retire. In fact, we're exploring
options that will make individual retirements obsolete so we can stop
supporting them. (Basically, you won't be tied to your e-mail
address anymore, you will be able to edit your e-mail address and all
your work would come along.)

The best alternative we've come up with for team retirement (though
we don't advertise it) is to simply dissolve one of the teams and
give all the team work units back to the team's members (I.E.
assigned to no team). This seems to be the most democratic way to
resolve any potential disagreements about the direction those points
are going. Those who join the new team will "give" all their old
points to that new team. Those who disagree can give those points to
whatever team they choose.

In order to dissolve one of these teams, I need to receive an e-mail
from the team owner. I have not been included in previous
conversations, so I'm afraid I have to ask you to resend those
details. If you are the owner (scott@techmen1.com) I just need to
know which team you own should be dissolved.

We are of course grateful for all the work contributed to our
projects, and we wish we could make stats into all things for all
people. The reality is we can't, so we have to choose the method
that makes the most people happy. In our experience, the retirements
have been enough of a problem for implementation that we believe our
participants are better served by a stable system than a flexible but
troublesome one. I'm especially impressed that you find us a worthy
enough cause that you would spend so much money on our behalf. I
hope we can continue to earn such high praise in the future, and I'm
sorry for any vague or frustrating answers you received previously.
