Seems one of my IBM HDDs has shit the bed on me, or rather on my sister as she was borrowing it. I'm just wondering if this is the normal way they kick the bucket. They had to reboot the PC for whatever reason, and after the POST it just plain didn't find the drive. I thought the drives accumulated bad sectors until they crapped out. Any insight?
They tossed in their seagate and everything worked fine BTW. I also double checked the jumper arraingment, all was well.
