OK, I've been running XP Pro for about a month now and decided to set the raid up yesterday. I took all my harddrives off and put the 2 Maxtor 30gigs (each as master) on the 2 raid ports. I set the raid up as stripe, 64k, bootable in the bios. XP refuses to load on the drives now. I'm booting from a Plextor scsi drive with the xp disk. I get a "missing NTLDR" error everytime it tries to boot from the raid drive after the xp install. I've used fdisk to set the disks up and also xp setup and still get the error. Going into the repair part of the xp setup I can see the NTLDR file on the root directory of c: and it has no extension such as .com or .exe. If I boot with a win98 boot disk I can't see any files on the c: drive even using ATTRIB. I have also formated the drives with "format c: /Z:32" and "format c: /Z:64", still no luck. Anybody no what is going on here.
