I hate to burst your bubble, but fiber willprobably NEVER be offered house to house. The cost is astronomical and it provides bandwith that would never be used, even by the most intense gamers. CLECs (and ILECs) are , however, bring fiber to the curb. You local loop that physically terminates into your home will always be copper. When it reaches a junction point it will then be switched to fiber and carried back to the CO. That is a GREAT thing... HOWEVER, in most cases it will prevent you from getting DSL and other types of service. |
