Win-doh!-s y-ME reinstall questions x2

Dear cpu-ers

I have recently reinstalled Win-doh!-s Y-me

Actually it was pretty painless except for 2 little glitches which should be easy but.....

1 When it restarts either by my hand or by software it fails to shut down and then fails to restart, just sits there with fans and drives whirring with a blank look (screen goes dark) and I have to reset, any ideas ?

2 On start-up it gives me a passward request when I have not entered a password and have no need for one. So how do you disable this helpful little feature !? please?
