well, here the problem.
I have a 1.3GHZ w/ 640MGs non-ecc 800MHZ RAM and an Nvidia GeForce2 MX video card w/ 32MGs onboard memory running WIN98SE.
I work in AutoCAD 2000 drawing cabinetry and every thing worked great untill the 3D file sizes got up to 10-20MGs(that seems to be the triger anyway). Now when I pan/scroll in my drawings it gets really choppy and then....crash. I get "fatal error: unhandled access violation..."

so I tried changing the RAM around to see if one was bad, no luck. tried new video drivers, new video card(taken from other draftsman who's computer works fine), re-installed autocad twice, added patches and service packs. Tried all resolutions from 16bit 800x600 to 32bit 1280x1024.
removed any running "background" programs. and still the same problem. not only does it crash but it pans and zooms very slowly in these big drawings when compared to the 800Mhz w/ 512MGs of pc100 RAM that we also have.

small drawings (under 8MG) work fine, but this machine is rediculously over kill and it still doesn't work. Is it BOIS/Motherboard/CPU?

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Darren
