I am sure it can be done the link below has adapters some on the main page to, just not sure which one you need.
Also we do not know how far you want to take this.
You could go as far as putting that writer in an external case & add a plug system to your PC to keep sharing between PC & laptop. But could run
lots of bucks depending on how you do it.
Also does your laptop have a spare IDE line ?
Its to early to think.
