Yes, basically Norton turns your hard drive into what ever the image is. If you happen to have an 8GB FAT32 image and a 20GB drive partitioned as NTFS. It will create an 8GB FAT32 partition, and have unpartioned space at the end.
You can have one partition FAT32, one partition NTFS, one partition FAT16, or whatever else you like and it will setup your drive just like the image.
Yes, you can do either the whole hard drive, or single partitions.
