The P4X266 supports DDR but Intel and VIA are having another legal squabble over whether or not VIA needs to license the P4 bus -- VIA claims IP it acquired when it merge/joint-ventured/whatever with S3 Inc. is sufficient, Intel says "no dice" and never offered VIA a P4 license (although it pointedly arranged P4 licensing agreements with SiS, Acer Laboratories, and ATi...)

Meanwhile, the i845 reportedly CAN support DDR but it hasn't been implemented yet in part because Intel needed to make allimony arrangements with a Signficant Other called Rambus. That, however, was finally taken care of a month or so ago and now...
