A few days ago I posted abot a problem installing Flight Simulator 2002. The problem was that the program would freeze about 32% into the first install disk and create a slew of lost clusters and crossed liked files. Took a bit of doing but I think I know why.

Seems that the problem was caused from W98 getting confused trying to cache into a large memory pool, e.g. over or near 512MB. The articles in MSKB addresses these issues.

The applicipable changes were made and it seems to have solved the problem.
