all my cd burning programs screw up, Easy cd creadtor nero, and Acoustica's MP3 CD Burner, my burner is iomega 8x 4x 12x, 500mhz amd k6 II 192mb ram , win98. the mobo is from an emachine 333cs

there is something wrong with my cd roms in general when i install something theres something always wrong with the files, programs. the way i can get something installed is if i used my realy old cd rom from like the early 90's no new cd roms work good.
