As for the IP addresses, try using one of the three sets of "reserved for local" addresses --

10.0.0.0 through 10.0.0.8

172.16.0.0 through 172.16.0.12

192.168.0.0 through 192.168.0.16

These three ranges are reserved for internal networking only and will never conflict with an Internet address.
