The current revisions of both boards use the same chipset, but that's where the similarities end. The Shuttle board is a no-frills bargain board with a reputation for great performance. The Soyo is loaded with bells and whistles like onboard 5.1 sound, network adapter, and RAID.

If you've already got good peripherals you can hold on to (sound, NIC, RAID adapter) then the Shuttle will probably fit your needs. If you don't already have those, or you have to lave them in your current system, then the Dragon might be a better choice.
