so Far here is my honest opinion.
1. it seems it really was not worth the money.
A. there is no real noticible difference.
b. the only game that seems to have anything different about it is halflife, opposing force, and blueshift. and the only thing I can tell there is the enhanced textures that came with blueshift.
c. in unreal tournament the only difference seems to be a more stable frame rate, with the voodoo5 I got fluctuation of frame rates anywhere between 65-170fps where with the Ti it is a smooth 84-86fps.
other games I have tried it with:
Red Faction (no difference)
Serious Sam (no difference)
Quake2 (maybe a little better in openGL)
Alien vs Preditor demo (no difference)
Castle Wolfenstein demo (a little difference with the special effects)
I am not going to say it was a total waste of money because I hope newer games will utilize the Gforce3 better and at least now I at least have driver support which I did not have with the Voodoo5. I really believe the Voodoo5 could have out shined all these newer cards if they would not have gone down the way they did and had a better chance to develop newer drivers.
I was running the Gforce with all the default settings except with the 2xAA enabled maybe after I tweek it some it will show me something spectacular.
my other specs:
homebuilt system
1.33ghz AMD thunderbird
Asus A7A266 Mobo
512mg DDR
