We already have 6000 boxes, and some of them are empty because the remains will never be positively identified (if even discerened from the steel and concrete dust before the bulldozers came in).

They were white-collar office workers who were innocently beginning their day in the various WTC-house businesses, pouring coffee, turning on their computer monitors, chatting with co-workers about their weekends activities; blue-collar maintenance and janitorial workers who were performing odd-jobs, tidying up the restrooms, and so forth; business travelers who were anticipating a quiet ride and a landing on the West Coast; and later on, more than 200 fire fighters and other rescue personnel who got caught in the tower collapse.

Hundreds of those who survived suffered such things as broken bones and third-degree burns.

Imagine having to walk before an audience of 15,000(+?) immediate family members of the lost, telling them "I'm sorry, your daddy isn't coming home tonight or ever again" or "we believe these things here may have been your wife's head and arm" and maybe that will give some perspective on what it is like to be attacked this way.

Then do the same with those persons' several hundred thousand friends and business associates. Try and throw "sensibility" in their faces.

As for Milosovich...no comparison. They were actually able to finally 'get' him, this is an entirely different can of worms. And prior to his arrest there WAS a war there in which we contributed, in the event you didn't notice.

As for what is going on right now, even if the most we accomplish is the destruction of terrorist training camps and several million dollars worth of Taliban/Al Quaed military equipment, that goes along way toward limiting Bin Laden's ability to pull off another trick like this.

As for whatever "growing opinion" is rising down in Aussie Land, remember VERY CLEARLY the words SickOfItAll used: You would be singing a much different tune if somebody decided to pilot a 747 into the Sidney Opera House.

And what the crap is this "evil hand" talk? Okay, so the US primarily acts in its economic interests more than out of general humanitarian concerns. Guess what: So does every other industrialized country on this map, except for the ones that act out of twisted religious fanatacism which IMO is even more dangerous. Go ask the Kuwaitis and Saudis if THEY care whether our involvement in the Gulf War was economically motivated. And how many dozens of economies has this country had a hand in bailing out of crisis scenarios? The dollar is the most stable currency in the world and US finance is a major factor in keeping the world economy running. The US also has the highest level of foreign direct investment in the world, because people for some reason view their money as being "safe" here.

The irony is that half of the people who piss and moan about the US are "just" wacked out extremists like Bin Laden, and the other half are people like, for example, the French, who have benefited enormously from the US (Normandy in the mid-1940s, and the economic bailout in the 1960s, come to mind) yet spit out inflammatory rhetoric by the bucket full "just because they can".

Don't take this the wrong way (i.e. don't take it personally), but you are REALLY lucky that THUNDER is no longer with us. I am pretty sure your monitor would have melted.

So the qestion is, do you base your opinion on the facts of the situation, or are you blindly floating along with "popular" opinion?
