This Dr. Mordid really has it with the P4 (LOL). Well, there have to be some of those. Otherwise, he appears to take the "future" approach with Intel releasing the 3.5 GHz P4 to make it competitive again. I didn't really read anything that would say that there is any performance advantage of the P4 at present and the past few months have shown over and again that with recompiled software, the Athlon actually had a greater performance bump than the P4. There are always people like that out there, trying to dominate and indoctrinate opinions on those who might accept him as authority just because he is bullish. Some if the stuff he posted was simply incorrect like the story about AMD layoffs that had been planned for some time simply because of outdated fabs. Did he mention the 7,000 layoffs that Intel announced, did he mention the fact that all construction companies who built the new Intel facilities in Colorado Springs had to file liens with the state because Intel has not paid the bills to the contractors? Not to mention that the Athlon is a whopping 25% faster in MPEG encoding (Ulead) which is not a free program but way better than M$ equivalent.

Strongly reminded me of Jim Navas, if you don't know him, it is only for your own good (hehehe).

There is no doubt that he does know some things but there is always the question of what people actually do with their knowledge.
