Drill 3 or 4 1/8" ( wider if you like) horizontal holes at the base of the heatsink through and through( the part where it attaches to the CPU) and fill it up with thermal grease like Arctic silver and cap it with small screws.
I think screws are better because it can provide
bit of compression to remove air bubbles. And you
get better heat dissipation.Some heatsinks like the globalwin is not thick at the base but the volcano 5 is thick. Theorically, it should be superior to an ordinary heatsink. Copper heatsink
with thick base should be the most ideal. I try to find the site for you.
