OK, I just found a WNAD.DAT file in my WINDOWS folder. It contains the following text:

I have no idea what this means, maybe nothing.
What worries me more though is the file WNAD.LGC that I found in C:\WINDOWS\APPLOG. It makes references to the following files:
SHELL32.DLL
MSVCRT.DLL
SHLWAPI.DLL
OLEAUT32.DLL
OLE32.DLL
I don't know yet if it's modified these files in any way and my computer seems to be working fine but it still seems kind of strange. I think this may be some kind of worm as it keeps trying to access my DNS every few minutes.
I don't know if any of this helped, but it's all I've been able to find out so far. I'll continue to see what I can discover about this damn thing.
