The post below is right up my alley this week, but I would like to know a bit more about the basics. I've got high speed cable coming in on Wednesday and would like to be prepared.
Basically, what is the difference between, and/or how do they interact, the cable modem, a hub and a router. I'm going to connect 2 computers to the sytem and as I understand from the cable company a router is probably the best way to go. Unfortunately, even though I'm fairly hardware literate, I have absolutely no networking experience and know nothing about these components.
