First, Islam ( Muslim ) came along about six hundred years after Christianity if I
remember correctly. As far as other religions playing a part in the basic foundation of
our laws, the only one I can think of is Judaism.

Concerning the aspect of a changing document, the writers of the U.S. Constitution
built a mechanism for change. The problem is that the politicians and legal eagles
aren't following it. Instead those who want to change laws will find some liberal judge
and enact new laws on us by creative interpretation. Laws are suppose to be written
by the legislative branch of our government, not some judge who wants to try his
hand at social engineering.
