Anyone hear about some new wav compression that is being worked on?
Buddy of mine has friend in Washington who sent him a pre-beta version of a utility that compresses wavs WAY down.
He has 50s and 60s music. Compressed about 130 songs, about 6 hours worth of music, down to 22Megs! And they are still .wav files!
Better yet, anything plays it! Win Media Player, RealPlayer, WinAmp, Win 3.1s player, DOS 6.2!!!
Only thing it won't do yet is make an audio CD.
He's gonna burn me a CD (music, NOT the utility). I can't wait to check it out.
