very nice, but as with most USR modems pricey. I currently own one (my sister is borrowing it as I finally got cable), and yes, it worked nicely USB or Serial. I don't remember having any problems with the USB under Win2K or Win98. It worked great with excellent pings while playing Rogue Spear and Quake 3. The only time I had it hooked up to the Serial was when I was using Linux or BeOS.
