no, it wouldn't but by default, the board is set to 2.85 V instead of 2.7V and that is what kills most SSR DIMMs. The description in the manual is wrong and the jumper is set incorrectly. Some newer revisionsare running 2.75V with the jumper removed but have an extra setting for 2.5V. They really screwed it up somewhere along the way.
