I never intentionally put my system into standby, but my keyboard has a damn button that sends the system straight to oblivion (standby). It happens to be in a location where I can easily push it by accident. If I push the power button I can hear the hard drive spin back up, but the screen doesn't come on.

I hate power management because it's caused me nothing but problems like this. Before I cut the standby button off my keyboard, can anybody tell me how to resurrect my system properly?
