Ok, after the "hack into my laptop thread", I finally decided just to throw win2000 on dual boot. That way I don;t even have to mess with my work configuration. The IT people will probably have a screaming fit, but I don't care, that's what happens when you give me a machine i have no control over. I can now get the machine on my network and watch DVDs....

But, I would really prefer to watch the DVDs on my 19" desktop monitor. I have power dvd installed on my desktop, but it doesn't recognize the mapped DVD drive...is there any way to make this thing appear as if it were a local drive?
