& the OS2 OS (GUI) orginally they were going to compete with MS till MS started fooling with the OS so that games would not work on OS2 anymore,
so IBM moved on to the business sector.

& IBM also created the PC with open standards which competed with the mac computer, the mac was clearly better back then but the cost was to high.
IBM clones caught on then & IBM came out with the
PS2 to compete against everyone. Things sure have changed since then.
