This one is active; so someone has been at work on this !

We need an alternative to Windows which will run all the fun and funky stuff as well as the practical stuff. It also has to make money and must aim at reaching "conventional" status so that people are not constantly forced to get jobs elsewhere in order to make ends meet and make a career.

There is a massive opportunity here, simply because MS profit margin is ridiculously high and their product can (I feel confident) be beaten.
