Although I didn't lap that particular one as it took 3 hrs. The lapping is done by placing sandpaper on a smooth surface such as ie. double thickness glass, formica, plexiglass, or perpetual stone), then starting with 280grit until even, then 400 lapped until the 280gritt scratches were removed, then 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, then rubbing compound to remove the little scratches by 2000grit and buffed to a shine, then cleaned off with 91% isopropyl alcohol. |
