My second Epox 8K7A just died on me. It's doing the exact same thing as the first one - power up, and the LED display on the board cyles 24, 25, FF, 24, 25, FF, etc. First board started when I removed 1 of 2 DIMMs. This one started after I changed some power management BIOS settings and set "reset configuration data" or whatever refreshes the ESCD.

This thread at AMDMB has 2 or 3 other people with the same problem.

Somebody there mentioned boards with a defective BIOS chip - I guess I'll be on the phone tomorrow. I got both boards from NewEgg, and just after they received the first dead board they have a refurb 8K7A on their site. Possibly they can fix the damn thing.

Every review of these boards has been very positive, but in my expierence they are steaming piles of dogshit.
