I just read the article, and was wondering if my understanding is true.. on an 80-pin (UDMA 66/100) cable, every other cable is a ground cable, meant for grounding out interference between lines. Rounding cables can creat extra noise in the wires, and lead to problems.. at least that's my understanding of the situation.
