under windows but im a linux kinda guy so dont know. I saw ages a peice of hardware the went inline on a network cable to limmit bandwidth, but i cant remember what it was and it probaly costs alot.
As far as i can see it MUST be posible under windows, as many firewall products exist that are able to interact with the TCP/IP stack and block ports etc, so it must be posible to limmit bnadiwdth via the same method too.
AND i have a theory on how one say do this too.
All TCP/IP in windows is done through the winsock dll. so surely all someone needs to do is to create a dummy winsock to intercept winsock calls (firewall sytle) BUT limmit through put on the send() and recv() commands.
This would work for limmiting send altho im not so sure on recive as its as winsock comes after the NIC
help someone provide input im rambling
