Probably nothing new you haven't heard before. One suggestion if you can get cable/DSL that would help a whole lot. I noticed after I got it that I don't get dropped out of games as much. And also try to connect to only the games with the best pings. Then there are some games that I found just have more problems than others. Especially ones using MSN Gaming Zone. It seems like it has problems one day and then the next it be smooth sailing. As far as the modem, goes if you must use one, just make sure it is a hardware based modem. I have had virtually no problems with either of my USR/3Com Modems before I got cable. Especially the external one I bought.
