I tried enabling Client for Microsoft Networks and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks on both systems, and restarted both, and I still can't get one computer to see the other.

I did some registry hacks from www.speedguide.net to optimize both systems for a broadband connection. I put in settings for TCPWindowSize, SackOpts, and TCP1323Opts. That couldn't prevent local connections, could it?
