syntax:

tracert xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

For example, if I perform this command on my gateway (138.67.1.1), the machine will return

Tracing route to csm-gw.Mines.EDU [138.67.1.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms MP240-StuHousing.Mines.EDU [138.67.74.240]
2 <10 ms 14 ms <10 ms csm-gw.Mines.EDU [138.67.1.1]

As you can see, it first identifies the name associated with the IP, then follows the path that is required to get there, ending at the specified IP address.

You can get the destination name with a WhoIs uility, too; search the CNet downloads under networking tools.

And like Kris basically said by pointing you to GRC, get Zone Alarm. Free and far more effective.
