Anyone have any experience in Internet Media Servers....?
I have two options...

1. Programmed Stream...
I setup my 15 GB's of files and stream constant content from my server to the www through a 300kbps ADSL line from the office.
2. On Demand...(future)
Probably have to have an OC pipe or two for this (but correct me if I'm wrong) and would probably have to move the office closer to the backbone...

Now...
there is another option to serving them myself...pay someone...there's plenty of people wanting to take your money for serving these days...phew!!! Such a simple task but bandwidth is the key....bandwidth=captial=money=charges...I guess.
The problem with a remote server doing the task is - 1. security of my/clients media content, and 2. getting 15GB of files to the remote server....I presume this would mean a posting of the files to the server via 300kbps line (..long time....and a pain for management) or send the files via CDR or DVD-Ram....

Anyone any comments.

Content will intially be my library of 1000 video clips in realmedia/wmv or qt at 56K or 256kbps formats...(seeking right to telecast these)...
Also hope to serve other clients but at a very cheap rate for limited bandwidth to 200Kbps..ie: 1-5 simultaneous users..mainly families and small corps...
