I just downloaded the Dnet client that is listed for Win9x on their download page. The page says that they removed the later(?) version due to bugs. I removed my old one and installed the new one.
NOW, my status bar moves from0 to 100% in about 1 minute, while it used to take 30 or more. Each time it sends

so I THINK it is doing real work here.
Am I messed up again, or is this thing flying where it used to wallow before?
