If I'm going to spend $$ on some PC150 cas2 ram, like Monitors - I always hoped my RAM would last at least one update....
So that means I would hope it to last 18months to 2 years...1GHz CPU this time and probably a 2GHz proc next year.
I remember reading that the recent drop in SD-RAM is due to the influx of DDRAM. Not sure of the issues here, but if I buy HP RAM now at US$100/128 stick, will I be selling it in my next update in 12months time to get into DDR stuff? Or will RAMBUS drop in price as the PIV's move in?
Will 2x256MB stick be slower than 4x128? I recall MS saying something about this.
Finally if I'm convinced - good sources for PC166/150 Cas 2 stuff (LED - I know your answer - didnt answer my email though)
TIA
