I sprung buku bucks for what was, at the time, second-from-the-top-of-the-line Sony CarDiscman -- ten-second skip, credit card remote, full car kit and AC adapter. For an extra $50 the next model up gave you a LIGHTED remote. I didn't feel it was worth it

That was a purchase I never regretted, still have the thing and use it on occassion...
